MaxAlto show apartment
The furniture in the apartment is curated exclusively from the Maxalto Collection designed by renowned architect, furniture and industrial designer Antonio Citterio. The Maxalto Collection encapsulates all those elements – concepts that blend with the inspiration behind The Whiteley: an homage to the building’s historical grandeur and craftsmanship, with luxurious interiors that are the last word in contemporary living. Over five decades, Citterio has garnered international awards for his work in architecture and interior design, has collaborated with global brands like B&B Italia, and some of his groundbreaking industrial designs are exhibited at MoMA in NYC and at the Georges Pompidou Centre in Paris.
“WHEN YOU EMBARK ON A DESIGN PROGRAM TO CREATE NOT ONLY OBJECTS, BUT AN ALL-ENCOMPASSING IDEA OF INTERIORS, THE FINAL GOAL IS NOT ALWAYS CLEAR. THE TRICK IS TO GRADUALLY BRING INTO FOCUS WHAT AT FIRST SEEMS VAGUE, AND THIS IS DONE BY PATIENTLY WORKING ON THE SHAPES, STRUCTURES AND MATERIALS.”
The Maxalto collection, a classic collection with a modern soul balances perfectly with the blend of historical and contemporary architecture of The Whiteley apartments blending sophisticated design and outstanding craftsmanship with refined and luxurious materials .
